Job Summary: The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a special emphasis on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care. This physician offers full-spectrum family medicine-including preventive, acute, and chronic care management-while also delivering obstetric services, including labor, delivery, and newborn care. The role ensures continuity of care for individuals and families across generations and life stages.

- Provide full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, management of chronic diseases, urgent care, and minor procedures.
- Deliver obstetric care, including prenatal visits, labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
- Care for newborns and provide pediatric services as part of family-centered care.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, midwives, and specialists.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care team huddles, and patient-centered medical home (PCMH) activities.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and prenatal/postpartum health.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours coverage as needed.
- Will participate in the hospital's call schedule for labor and deliveries including after hours and weekend hours
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Additional training or demonstrated competency in Obstetrics.
- Current, unrestricted state medical license.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Must be eligible for hospital privileges
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) preferred.
