Banquet Houseperson is responsible for physical set-up, cleanliness and maintenance of all banquet equipment and function rooms, as well as their related areas. In so doing, is expected to direct all efforts towards guest satisfaction. Reports directly to the Banquet Captain. Minimal food and beverage background required. Knowledge of various types of video and VCR equipment is a plus. Reading, writing, and basic math are necessary. Physical requirements include standing, speaking, hearing, and being able to carry between 30-50 lbs, walking, lifting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, and able to walk stairs.
Job Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Be able to read a BEO and set up rooms, including AV requirements, according to BEO’s.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the location of all function rooms and related areas and the various types of workable set-ups.
- Keep the total function room area and storage areas clean and neat at all times.
- Perform periodic total cleaning of the area, as assigned by Supervisor or Banquet Manager.
- Check with Supervisor or Banquet Manager before leaving for the day.
Salary : $14 - $14
