General Description:
Manage volunteer programs. Assist with human resources. Provide administrative and grant support. Participate with marketing responsibilities and developing community relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for the Agency by completing tasks such as but not limited to:
- Grant Support
- Attend external meetings and build partnerships
Assist with Human Resources
- Coordinate recruiting and job positions
- Posting of positions, onboarding agency documents
- Compliance, including affirmative action and training programs
- Oversee background checks and licensure requirements
- Personnel file maintenance as required
Manage Volunteer Program
- Oversee volunteer recruitment and coordination of volunteers
- Process and maintain volunteer documents
- Oversee, coordinate and manage volunteer programs:
i. Volunteer Transportation
ii. Phone-A-Friend
iii. Plan annual training meeting for volunteers
Attend and participate in agency events, trainings, in-services and meetings
All other duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to work with older adults, community members and businesses
- Thorough, efficient and flexible, able to work independently
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized records
- Must be friendly and demonstrate a caring attitude at all times
- Punctual and able to work scheduled hours
- Trustworthy and committed to confidentiality of Agency information
- Professional and ethical conduct is required at all times
- Must have valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must possess a cell phone
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in public relations, public health, human resources or a related field, or social services or significant experience with public relations.
- Experience in human services working with older clientele is helpful.

- Part time, 20- 24 hours per week, four days a week, non-exempt
