Job Title: Juvenile Services Coordinator
Reports To: Probate Register/Juvenile Court Supervisor
Department: Juvenile Court
PART-TIME: 21 HOURS PER WEEK
General Summary:
Coordinates various services for youth that are "at-risk" or on probation or on In-Home Care. Coordinates effective use of volunteers that perform various contractual services for the "at-risk" youth being supervised by the court. Performs a variety of clerical support roles to assist the Juvenile Court Staff and the Probate/Juvenile Court Supervisor.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit attendants for the RDSS holdover program.
- Coordinate all community work projects for probationers required to complete service hours.
- Prepare all contract vouchers for approval and payment.
- Monitor RDSS workers who are assigned Home Detention, transporting, Holdover Assignments and other Juvenile Court Programs.
- Coordinate drug testing of the youth with the probation officers and maintain a drug testing log.
- Maintain logs on all RDSS activities and complete all RDSS monthly reports and submit them to the State on time.
- Assist probation officers with paperwork for fingerprinting, scheduling, and supervising of fingerprint appointments.
- Assist probation officers with filing, data entry, programming logs, correspondence with parents and school staff.
- Opens, date stamps, sorts, and distributes mail for the Juvenile Court Staff, as well as processing outgoing mail.
- Maintains a current inventory of community service tools and holdover program supplies for Juvenile Court Staff.
- Performs related and general office duties such as answering phones and relaying messages to staff; typing correspondence, case notes and memos; faxing and scanning documents, and stocking approved supplies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to record, proof, and edit detailed documented information with a high degree of accuracy; perform noncomplex mathematical calculations; and help maintain records and filing system.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
