Accounting Manager – Manufacturing | CPG | Columbus, OH Metro (Hybrid) – Hilliard/Galloway area

My client is open to someone coming straight out of public accounting | consulting that is looking to transition into industry. This role is robust and encompasses accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, FP&A, all areas of finance, business partnering and is looking for someone that is entrepreneurial that is looking to scale the business. This is the type of role that sets someone up to advance to controller and CFO given the depth and breadth of experience and exposure you'll obtain.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all core accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, inventory, cash, accruals, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Drive the month-end close and provide analysis/commentary on business drivers.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes (AOP, CapEx, PVM analysis, etc.)
• Ability to learn corporate finance, commercial finance, operational finance, pricing, treasury and more.
• Ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements; partner with external CPA firm.
• Maintain strong internal controls (SOX) and optimize use of SAP, Oracle or similar ERP.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active or inactive CPA, CMA preferred.
• MBA, MAcc preferred
• Blend of public accounting manufacturing / CPG industry experience preferred.
• Experience in either corporate accounting, plant accounting/finance, FP&A, and operational finance/accounting.
• Open to someone coming straight out of public accounting | consulting that is looking to transition into industry
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor/develop a team.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (not eligible for sponsorship).

Compensation:

• Base salary target: $110K–$135K (flexibility for the right candidate - just let me know what you need to consider the move).
• Annual bonus eligibility (10-15%).
