Duties
- Greet clients warmly and handle all incoming calls with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive experience from the first interaction
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate client communications efficiently
- Collect payments and process medical billing with accuracy, including handling medical collections when necessary
- Provide information on pet care, veterinary procedures, and clinic policies using clear veterinary terminology
- Assist clients with pet care questions related to animal husbandry, grooming, training, and restraint techniques
- Support veterinary staff by managing patient records, updating client files, and preparing documentation for procedures such as animal catheterization or laboratory tests
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area while demonstrating animal handling skills during client interactions
Requirements
- Previous experience in veterinary clinics or animal shelters is highly preferred, especially with kennel work or animal husbandry tasks
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and aseptic techniques used in clinical settings
- Familiarity with pet grooming, dog training, pet care routines, and animal restraint methods
- Experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care is a plus
- Ability to handle animals safely during client interactions, including dog handling and general animal handling skills
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical procedures clearly to pet owners
- Basic proficiency in medical collection processes and familiarity with veterinary software systems
