Four Oaks Care Services, LLC is seeking compassionate and motivated North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) to join our growing team.

This is a community based field position supporting individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use challenges, and co-occurring disorders. As a CPSS, you will use your lived experience, recovery knowledge, and peer support skills to help individuals build hope, strengthen wellness, increase self-advocacy, and achieve their personal recovery goals.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week with clients in the field
  • Work Setting: Community-Based / Field Services
  • Coverage Area: Triad Region and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered peer support to individuals with similar lived experiences.
  • Share your recovery journey appropriately to inspire hope and empowerment.
  • Promote recovery, self-determination, self-advocacy, wellness, and community integration.
  • Assist individuals in identifying strengths, goals, and recovery needs.
  • Support healthy coping skills, wellness strategies, and self-management practices.
  • Connect individuals with community resources and natural supports.
  • Encourage participation in meaningful community activities and relationships.
  • Help individuals navigate behavioral health, social service, housing, employment, educational, and community resources.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical peer support practices.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation/Notes.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and support teams while remaining within the CPSS scope of practice.
  • Participate in required training, supervision, and continuing education.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Lived experience consistent with the population served
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
  • Ability to travel throughout Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, Durham, and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in community settings

Preferred:

  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges
  • Knowledge of community resources and recovery supports
  • Experience in behavioral health or human services settings
