What are the responsibilities and job description for the FCBS Retail Counter Sales I position at FOUR CORNERS BUILDING SUPPLY LLC?
Job Summary: Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of walk-in customers and visitors.
Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
• Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.
• Promptly answer phones in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
• Manage all counter activities such as answering inbound calls and following up with customers by phone as needed.
• Take purchase orders by phone, in-person, or email and enter them into the system.
• Assist in inventory management in the showroom.
• Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.
• Forward new opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closing.
• As needed, using a forklift to assist customers with loading and unloading their trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar business
• Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent carrying and lifting - Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Frequently standing for long periods of time
