Job Summary: Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of walk-in customers and visitors.
Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
- Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.
- Promptly answer phones in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
- Manage all counter activities such as answering inbound calls and following up with customers by phone as needed.
- Take purchase orders by phone, in-person, or email and enter them into the system.
- Assist in inventory management in the showroom.
- Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.
- Forward new opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closing.
- As needed, using a forklift to assist customers with loading and unloading their trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar business
- Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent carrying and lifting - Must be able to lift 50 pounds
