E-Commerce Assistant Manager

FoundRae
York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 5/27/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/25/2026

WHO WE ARE:

The Foundrae Collection is more than jewelry. The pieces are modern heirlooms, ones that allow the wearer to express something of themself to the world. The Foundrae collection is intended to become part of the wearer, a second skin, to be an expression of identity and of personal values.

The collection is founded on a lexicon of archetypal, mythological and classical symbols with the intention of inspiring the wearer to take the wisdom passed down through generations and apply that to one’s own life. Foundrae is a reminder, one we wear against our hearts or on our hands, of our capacity for change and growth. When you wear one of these pieces, you are announcing to yourself and to the world that everything you want and everything you want to be is already inside you - all you have to do is claim it.

The Role

The Assistant Manager, E-Commerce is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of FoundRae’s digital storefront, ensuring a best-in-class online experience. This role sits at the intersection of site operations, Shopify management, and cross-functional execution, partnering closely with internal teams and external development partners. You will own site accuracy, product integrity, and quality assurance, while helping to drive continuous optimization of the customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations on Shopify, ensuring all content, navigation, and functionality are accurate and up to date
  • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and creative teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of launches, campaigns, and updates
  • Maintain strong documentation of processes, QA standards, and site updates to support scalability and consistency
  • Conduct regular audits of product detail pages (PDPs) to ensure brand standards, storytelling, and UX are upheld
  • Lead quality assurance (QA) processes across the site, identifying and resolving issues related to functionality, content, and user experience
  • Test site features, tools, and integrations (including new launches, updates, and enhancements) to ensure seamless performance
  • Monitor site health, including broken links, page errors, and overall functionality to maintain a high-performing digital environment
  • Partner with external developers and agencies to scope, test, and implement site enhancements and bug fixes
  • Support Shopify backend operations, including product setup, collections, tagging, inventory updates, and merchandising workflows
  • Assist in analyzing site performance and identifying opportunities to improve conversion, navigation, and customer experience
  • Stay current on e-commerce best practices, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the digital experience

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce, preferably within luxury retail or a direct-to-consumer brand
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify and backend operations
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, brand integrity, and problem solving
  • Experience with QA processes, site testing, and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage external partners effectively
  • Familiarity with site analytics, performance metrics, and digital optimization best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
