As our Banquet Captain, you’ll take the lead during weddings, tournaments, and special events—guiding staff, ensuring smooth service, and creating memorable experiences. As a Grill Server, you’ll bring friendly, attentive service to our day‑to‑day dining guests.
- Banquet Captain rate: $17/hr
- Grill Server rate: $7.25/hr tips
- Shifts vary based on event schedules and operational needs
- Experience in banquets and staff supervision is required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Banquet Captain
• Works with catering manager for set up and breakdown of banquet events.
• Supervises banquet employees during all events.
• Ensure guests are taken care of in a timely fashion.
• Accountable for all bar inventory and cash handling.
• Assists with the scheduling and placement of banquet employees for all events.
• Assures all food service items are within company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Responsible for end of event property security.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels.
• Enforces rules and policies under FGI’s guidelines.
• Always conducts behavior towards employees and guests in a professional manner.
• Responsible for accounting for all bar hosted inventory.
• Maintain personal and professional development.
• Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled to work
• Other duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities and Requirements:
• 1-2 years’ experience in Food and Beverage banquets with a facility providing catering.
• Good computer skills to include Word, Excel, and POS.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Non slip shoes required.
• Supervisor experience
• Must have driver’s license with a good MVR.
Qualification-Requirements Experience - Education
• Actively follows all safety rules and guidelines in accordance with company, OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other state and federal law requirements.
• Supervises all safety precautions among F&B employees.
• Responsible for proper care of any employee accident and reports immediately to management.
Must have or obtain required Food Handlers and SCDOR alcohol cerrtifications within seven days of employment
