Summer 2026 Paid Internship Opportunity
This program offers more than just exposure—you’ll be actively involved in daily hotel operations while learning the standards and practices of a globally recognized brand like Hilton.
Program Highlights
- Paid Internship – Competitive hourly compensation
- Duration: May – August 2026 (10–12 weeks)
- Hands-on Experience: Work directly within the Rooms Division

Primary Focus: Housekeeping Operations
Interns will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations that drive guest satisfaction, including:
- Maintaining guest room cleanliness and presentation, including bed-making, bathroom cleaning, and replenishing amenities
- Supporting room inspections to ensure Hilton cleanliness and quality standards are met
- Learning room assignment processes, productivity expectations, and time management standards
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., equipment issues, room damages, or hazards)
- Assisting with inventory control, including linens, supplies, and housekeeping materials
- Supporting coordination between Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure rooms are guest-ready
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and attention to detail at all times
- Delivering courteous, professional service to guests and team members
Additional Exposure May Include
- Front Office & Guest Services coordination
- Rooms Division operations and guest flow
- Service recovery and guest experience management

What We’re Looking For
- Must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality program and/or have a strong interest in the hospitality industry
- Interest in Rooms Division or Housekeeping leadership
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
Additional Details
- Candidates must be local to the Hampton Roads area and able to secure and maintain their own housing
- Participation in all scheduled training, meetings, and departmental activities is required
- Completion of departmental training checklist is expected before the end of the program
