Director of Human Resources Duties:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for all aspects of the HR function, including identifying, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives to support the business projections of Foundation Finance Company. The Director provides guidance in developing workforce management initiatives, manages the Recruiting and HR Operations teams, provides HR metrics and presentations to the executive team, oversees and manages employee relations activities, ensures legal compliance, and develops talent strategies for implementation to support the organization’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Implement and annually review/update the compensation program; conduct annual salary surveys; analyze compensation; monitor the performance review process and provide revisions, as necessary.
- Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee escalated employee relations issues, investigations, and disputes; address management questions related to HR programs, all company policies, procedures, and issues; develop, maintain, and administer progressive discipline policy and related documentation procedures.
- Direct recruitment efforts for all exempt, non-exempt, contract and temporary workers, provide insight to the recruiting team regarding passive and active recruiting strategies.
- Oversee the restructuring and growth of new-hire orientation, provide strategic insight to department management, support onboarding practices while assessing effectiveness, develop recognition, morale, and engagement programs.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Collaborate with managers in developing department goals, objectives, and systems; develop and monitor career-path programs, professional development, and employee relations counseling.
- Develop and maintain Human Resource policies and procedures and changes made to the aforementioned; maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, employment laws and apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policies, practices, and resources to the executive team.
- Develop strategic initiatives for workforce planning, department restructuring and development/achievement of growth projections and retention strategies.
- Manage the sponsorship process for new-hires as necessary (F1-OPT, H1-B application and maintaining Public Access File.)
- Conduct research and analyses of organizational trends including the review of reports and metrics from HRIS and ATS systems.
- Other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Must be able to take direction and work well with others. Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately. Must be able to react to change productively.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages and oversees entire Human Resources department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Pay Range
USD $135,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience, master’s degree a plus!
10 years related experience.
SHRM/PHR certification.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
