The Opportunity
We’re seeking a hands-on, execution-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a venture-backed, high-growth marketplace platform operating at the intersection of technology and real-world services. This leader will partner closely with the CEO to build and scale core operations, design durable systems and processes, and establish the operational foundation required for rapid domestic and international expansion. As the company transitions from early growth to scale, the COO will play a critical role in translating strategy into execution, shaping operating cadence and culture, and ensuring the organization is built to support long-term, category-defining growth.
What You’ll Do
- Operational Leadership: Own day-to-day operations across the business, ensuring tight alignment between strategy, execution, and outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a growing team across operations, customer success, and support—setting a high bar for performance and accountability.
- Process & Scale: Design and implement scalable systems, KPIs, and operational frameworks to support rapid growth across multiple markets.
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with the CEO on company strategy, fundraising, and key partnerships—turning vision into operational reality.
- Financial Operations: Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation; bring rigor to unit economics and operational efficiency.
- Market Expansion: Lay the operational foundation for expansion into new geographies, including compliance, logistics, vendor relationships, and local partnerships.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and PR to ensure operational readiness for launches, campaigns, and brand partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
- 8 years of leadership experience in operations, general management, or strategy.
- Background in mobility, ride-share, logistics, OOH advertising, marketplaces, or tech-enabled consumer platforms strongly preferred.
- Proven experience scaling an organization from early stage through growth and expansion.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including P&L ownership and fundraising support.
- A builder mindset—hands-on, adaptable, and energized by ambiguity and rapid growth.
- Exceptional people leadership and communication skills.
- Experience operating across or expanding into international markets is a strong plus.
