What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Foster Wallace Personal Injury Lawyers?
Company Description
At Foster Wallace, we show up for people on their worst days. Our clients have been hurt in car accidents, dog bites, and incidents that turned their lives upside down. They come to us scared, overwhelmed, and looking for someone they can trust. From the very first phone call, we are committed to earning that trust. We listen before we talk, and we hire people who understand why that matters.
We're not a faceless firm. We're Kansas City people who genuinely care about this community, and we show up for it every single month through our giving efforts. Hundreds of five-star Google reviews reflect what we've built; real relationships, cutting-edge technology working behind the scenes, and a team that treats every client like a neighbor.
We're growing, and we're looking for someone to grow with us.
Role Description
This is a full-cycle role. Our paralegals own their cases from initial investigation and treatment through settlement, handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters. You'll be the connective tissue between the client and the outcome, managing client communication, drafting documents, coordinating medical records, supporting discovery, and keeping cases moving. You won't be doing it alone. You'll be backed by a dedicated case manager, a records specialist, and an intake team so you can stay focused on the legal work that matters. Also, our attorneys, including our Partners, are closely involved in every case. You'll work hand in hand with them toward the best possible result for every client.
Client relationships are at the center of everything we do here. That means returning calls promptly, communicating clearly, and making sure every person who trusts us with their case feels it. If you're the kind of paralegal who takes pride in knowing your clients by name and not just by case number, you'll fit right in.
We're also a tech-forward firm. We fully utilize case management technology and AI tools to work smarter, move faster, and deliver more value to our clients. If you're curious about how technology is changing legal work and want to be part of a team that's ahead of the curve rather than catching up to it, this is the place.
We believe that taking care of our team and taking care of our clients go hand in hand. You'll be supported, respected, treated, and compensated like the professional you are.
