Chef de Cuisine – New Historic Hotel Opening (Pine Hill, NY)
Foster Supply Hospitality—a James Beard Award-nominated restaurant group (Outstanding Restaurateurs Semi-Finalist 2023, Outstanding Restaurant Semi-Finalist 2024)—is seeking a hands-on Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary team for a brand-new boutique hotel opening in a historic Pine Hill property in mid-November 2026.
You will be joining theFoster Supply Hospitality family (alongside sister properties like The DeBruce, Kenoza Hall, The Arnold, and Hemlock Neversink), this venue marries historic Catskills hospitality with a vibrant, high-volume dining experience. The concept features a German-influenced menu built around local provenance—spanning dishes like Chicken & Pork Schnitzels, Kasespatzle, and Oversized Pretzels to Esopus Trout Dip and Snowdance Farm Chicken Wings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Leadership: Provide hands-on culinary leadership, overseeing food preparation, line execution, and consistent presentation.
- Team Building: Recruit, hire, schedule, train, and mentor a back-of-house team focused on quality and performance.
- Financial Management: Manage product ordering, inventory, and labor schedules to hit food and labor cost targets while reviewing P&Ls with leadership.
- Operations & Safety: Maintain exceptional cleanliness, adhere to safety protocols, and coordinate maintenance needs with facilities teams.
- Collaboration: Partner with front-of-house, events, and marketing teams to execute regular service and special events.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience leading back-of-house operations in an elevated, high-volume environment.
- A proven track record in teaching and building kitchen teams.
- Strong organizational skills for invoice management, scheduling, and P&L oversight.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods, navigate stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Details & Compensation:
- Salary: $70,000 – $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, HSA, and Roth IRA are available to salary employees
- Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance bonus.
- Hours: Full-time (Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays required).
