Supervises: Assists in supervision of Business Office Staff
Job Summary:
The Confidential Financial Analyst Assistant will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the District on its financial strategy as well as assist the Business Manager and Human Resource Manager in daily confidential tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Analyses District and financial data.
•Assists in creating financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making for negotiations.
•Assists the Business Manager and Human Resources in contract negotiations.
•Develops financial plans and reports for organizational needs and audits.
•Analyzes Districts financial trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
•Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
•Assists Business Manager in completing daily financial tasks.
•Assists the Human Resource Manager in confidential tasks such as letters, billing, payroll and salary projections.
•Assists the Business Manager and Human Resources in biweekly payroll review.
•The ability to be cross trained in payroll and tax filings to process if necessary.
•Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
•Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
•Understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
•Understanding of union contract negotiations.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to input and export data from software programs.
