These upcoming projects include major expansion and renovation efforts within healthcare facilities, aviation environments, and higher education campuses. Position Summary

The Senior Construction Project Manager provides program and construction management services on behalf of public and private clients. This role is responsible for overseeing complex, large-scale capital construction programs across healthcare, aviation, and education markets, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the Owner's goals for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This position does not perform construction work but provides independent oversight, leadership, and coordination of designers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management or owner's representation
  • Minimum of seven (7) years providing professional project management leadership on complex construction projects
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects or programs concurrently

Sector-Specific Experience & Qualifications

Healthcare Construction

  • Demonstrated experience providing Owner's Rep or construction management services on healthcare and health science facilities
  • Solid understanding of healthcare construction standards, codes, infection control requirements, and operational constraints
  • Experience managing projects within active healthcare environments
  • Proven ability to coordinate with clinical users, facility teams, designers, and regulatory agencies

Aviation Construction

  • Demonstrated experience supporting airport-related construction projects, including:
    • Runways, taxiways, and terminals
    • Concourse buildouts at active airports
    • Tunnels and underground utility systems
  • Ability to successfully pass a TSA criminal background check
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and applicable codes
  • Experience operating in highly regulated, safety-sensitive environments
Education (K–12 & Higher Education)

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale renovation and ground-up construction projects
  • Proven experience with K–12 school construction projects or programs
  • Experience working in active campus environments with multiple stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary representative of the Owner throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement strategies
  • Manage and coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and third-party consultants
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with contract documents, schedule, and budget
  • Review cost estimates, change orders, pay applications, and contractor schedules
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide clear reporting to Owner stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable regulations
  • Support closeout activities, commissioning, and occupancy

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
  • LEED accreditation a plus

Work Environment

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.

Other Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
  • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
