We are seeking an Aviation Project Manager to support aviation construction projects in the Orlando area. The Aviation Project Manager works closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders to support the successful delivery of aviation infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with the coordination and administration of aviation construction projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support project oversight and contract administration.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate communication among contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules and milestones, identifying potential risks and assisting with resolution.
- Assist with construction coordination, field issue resolution, and constructability reviews.
- Track project progress and support reporting to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assist with change order reviews, pay applications, and other project documentation.
- Maintain project records, meeting minutes, and status reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of construction experience supporting aviation (interior construction), transportation, or large vertical infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of construction documents, contract administration, and construction coordination.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
- Ability to visit active construction sites and work in outdoor construction environments.
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.
- The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.
- Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
- May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
