Summary
The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee all maintenance activities for Foss Recycling's fleet of trucks, heavy equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring timely repairs, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and managing the availability of parts and supplies to minimize operational downtime. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong mechanical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage teams and processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a fleet, heavy equipment, or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge of trucks, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery; familiarity with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (CMRP, ASE, or similar) are a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
