This role combines precise meat preparation with daily counter service and custom order consultation, emphasizing order accuracy, product quality, waste reduction, and polished presentation. The position offers an advancement path to Lead Butcher.
Responsibilities
- Cut, portion, debone, and trim beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and specialty meats.
- Prepare custom cuts and present products attractively for retail display.
- Package products accurately and fulfill customer orders.
- Inspect products to maintain quality and reduce waste.
- Rotate inventory according to product freshness and stock requirements.
- Provide daily counter service and consult with customers on custom orders.
- Operate and sanitize meat-cutting equipment and work areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in meat cutting.
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
- Strong knife skills and meat fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and portion control.
- Experience operating meat-cutting equipment.
- Attention to detail and customer service skills.
