Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Specialist Teachers to join our team. As a Specialist Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, innovative education that aligns with our school's student-centered approach while promoting creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans tailored to students' diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and collaboration.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Organize and participate in schoolwide events, showcases, performances, competitions, and exhibitions related to the subject area.
- Maintain classroom materials, equipment, and resources to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Foster character development and leadership skills in students through curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Uphold and model the school’s values, dress code, and commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in the relevant subject area or education.
- Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification if required).
- Experience teaching in the subject area at the appropriate grade level preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured yet creative learning environment.
- Passion for the arts, and hands-on, student-centered learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
