Distribution Specialist - Flex Forward

Position:  Flex Forward Specialist

Pay: $55k - $65k

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Job Description:

Projects and pricing analyst for our Flex Forward division. Individuals must be self-motivated with the ability to maximize the efficiencies of our supply chain. This role assists in developing and facilitating proposals for new/existing business including customer specific and large-scale programs. Strong pricing development, proposal writing, contract writing, and analytics is a must.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Applicants should be able to develop customer/sales relationships, multitask, communicate in a clear and professional manner, possess high computer and typing skills, high attention to detail, ability to learn complex systems quickly, and have a positive attitude
• Responsible for pricing, vetting, and booking projects and new secured business
• Assemble, implement, and manage Load Planning and Service scenarios between Sales and Operations across all the verticals with direct communication to the customer
• Provide guidance to our sales and operations teams for existing and new business opportunities
• Successfully collaborate and coordinate between multiple departments with multiple teams to find pricing and/or service solutions to our network
• Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments and levels of management
• Build customized proposals and pricing solutions via brokerage or internal assets
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or relative experience 
• TMS or previous pricing experience/analytics
• Excellent professional, authoritative, and positive communication
• Computer systems in Microsoft, Excel, Word, Salesforce, Mcleod 
• Multitasking in fast-paced environment
• Multiple line phone system, calculator, and great math skills
• Ability to successfully coordinate and collaborate between multiple departments as well as customers
• Self- motivated with critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Skills:

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
• Proficiency within Excel is highly desired
• Experience with Access and query functions a plus
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
• Sales and pricing experience is highly desired
