Position Overview
As part of our growing U.S. operations, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Controller to join our finance team based in our Georgetown, DC office. The Senior Controller will report directly to the Group CFO (based in Paris) and will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role will also support the implementation of tools, such as Sage Intacct.
This is a full-time, in-person role offering a dynamic environment, opportunities for process improvement, and direct engagement with our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. This role will have two direct reports: Accounting Manager and AR/AR Manager
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial periods
- Manage and improve accounting systems and processes, including full utilization of QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Salesforce
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and other regulatory filings
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations
- Provide leadership and mentoring to accounting staff, ensuring high performance and growth
- Maintain documentation and support for all accounting processes and financial records
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role
- Strong command of QuickBooks (desktop and online), Sage Intacct, and Salesforce
- Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports and working with external auditors
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls best practices
- High proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
