The Sr HR Generalist is a strategic advisor and hands-on HR professional responsible for
aligning people strategies with business objectives while executing critical HR operations
for our Miami location. This role combines strategic planning with operational execution,
including employee relations, performance management, payroll and benefits oversight
and compliance. The Sr HR Generalist acts as a trusted consultant to leadership, ensuring
HR initiatives align with operational initiatives and drive organizational success while
fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership on HR policies, practices, and workplace issues (i.e progressive discipline, coach and counseling, offboarding/onboarding, talent management, change management)
- Manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions
- Promote a positive, high performing, and compliant workplace culture
HR Operations
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes including offer letters, new hire orientation, exit interviews
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in HR system (Paylocity)
- Administer HR policies and ensure consistent application
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies
Performance and Talent Management
- Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and development planning
- Partner with leadership on succession planning and talent initiatives
- Coach managers on performance management and employee development
Comp and Benefits
- Assist payroll team, providing on time and necessary adjustments for each payroll cycle for business unit.
- Provide on-site support for benefits team to address day-to-day employee benefit questions, facilitate enrollments, and wellness initiatives.
- Spearhead collaboration between management, safety, and benefits teams for full cycle workers’ compensation investigations and risk mitigation.
Additional Strategic Duties:
- Partner with leadership to design and implement change management strategies.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and culture transformation projects.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership
- Identify training needs and monitor learning programs to ensure success.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning and high-potential talent development.
- Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
- 3 years of progressive, full-cycle human resource experience.
- Manufacturing, logistics, shop, warehousing, or industrial HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR/business acumen, and benefits/leave management.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Excel, and payroll platforms; Paylocity experience preferred.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with experience in strategic planning and organization design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating them when appropriate.
