Purpose of the role
This position is designed to develop Fortus One’s next operational leader. The Operations & Growth Manager will combine business development, customer management, project leadership, warehouse operations, and team leadership into a single high-impact role. The successful candidate will be capable of working on the floor, leading customer meetings, solving problems quickly, and share responsibility for much of the company’s day-to-day operations.

Position Summary
The Operations & Growth Manager serves as a bridge between customers, operations, and leadership. The role is intended for an ambitious professional with approximately 1–5 years of experience who wants to build a long-term leadership career and eventually lead a facility, region, or business unit.
Core Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
• Coordinate daily warehouse, repair, assembly, and project activities
• Lead project launches and operational improvement initiatives
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and customer performance metrics
• Support inventory management and asset tracking programs
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and resource planning
Business Development & Customer Growth
• Research and identify potential customers and market opportunities
• Support prospecting, customer visits, and business development efforts
• Prepare proposals, presentations, pricing support, and customer communications
• Identify opportunities within existing customer accounts
• Maintain CRM activity and support pipeline growth
Customer & Project Management
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers
• Lead project coordination and communicate status updates
• Ensure commitments are delivered on time and with quality
• Resolve issues quickly and professionally
• Build long-term customer relationships
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead by example and earn credibility through action
• Maintain composure and sound judgment during operational challenges
• Coordinate and influence team members without relying solely on authority
• Support training and development of operational personnel
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate
• 1–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, project management, customer service, or business development
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable performing hands-on operational work when needed
• Able to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
• Willing to travel to customer locations when required
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Packaging Engineering, or related field
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• CRM, ERP, WMS, or inventory management system experience
• Customer-facing or sales experience
