What are the responsibilities and job description for the GTM Operations Intern (Paid) position at GTM Growth?
GTM Growth LLC | Greenville, SC preferred. Remote considered for the right candidate.
We fix, optimize, and scale revenue engines for startups. We need a sharp, curious builder who uses AI the way most people use email. You will do real work on real client accounts from week one.
About GTM GrowthGTM Growth is an embedded go-to-market consulting firm. We do not hand over a strategy deck and leave. We sit inside our clients' teams as fractional CROs, fractional AEs, and outbound builders, and we own the results.
Our clients are early and growth-stage startups, mostly in logistics, supply chain, and commerce tech. Our work has helped clients raise $250M in capital and generate $100M in revenue.
We are a small team. That means no busywork, no layers, and direct access to both founders every day.
You will work directly with our CEO and COO across live client engagements. Expect a mix of research, analysis, and building.
- Build with Claude. Create research workflows, competitive intelligence briefs, prospecting assets, and internal tools using Claude and other AI.
- Research markets and accounts. Map buyers, size opportunities, and find the angle that gets a founder into the right room.
- Analyze the numbers. Dig into pipeline, forecasts, pricing, and unit economics. Tell us what the data says and what to do about it.
- Support client delivery. Help produce GTM audits, playbooks, proposals, and sales enablement materials.
- Rethink outbound. The old volume SDR model is broken. Help us test new ways to create executive conversations, including small events and community-led outreach.
- Sharpen our own business. Bring ideas for how GTM Growth sells, operates, and grows.
- AI-fluent. You already use Claude (or similar) daily. You can show us something you built or solved with it.
- Business-minded. You understand how a company makes money: revenue, margin, pipeline, customers.
- An original thinker. You question the default answer and bring a better one.
- A builder. You would rather ship a rough version today than polish a plan for a week.
- A clear communicator. You write and speak in plain, direct language.
- Self-directed. You do not need a checklist. You figure it out, then ask smart questions.
Background: Current student or recent grad in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Sales, Strategy, or a related field. We care more about how you think than what is on your transcript.
Nice to have: Exposure to sales, startups, CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce), or logistics and supply chain.
- Paid, hands-on experience. No coffee runs.
- Direct mentorship from two founders with enterprise sales and revenue leadership backgrounds at UPS, Shippo, and Orderful.
- Exposure to multiple startups and their executive teams in a single internship.
- Real work product for your portfolio: tools, analyses, and playbooks you built.
- Flexible schedule that works around classes.
- Potential for an extended or expanded role for top performers.
