Experienced Sushi Chef
Hourly Pay: $23.00 / hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Sushi Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare high-quality sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi with speed and precision. If you have great knife skills and amazing customer service skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Roll & Dish Preparation: Make maki, nigiri, and custom orders according to restaurant standards.
- Fish & Ingredient Handling: Slice fish, prepare sushi rice, and inspect food quality.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, sanitary station and follow local health and safety rules.
- Speed & Teamwork: Work fast in a high-volume environment while helping fellow kitchen staff.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional sushi-rolling experience.
- Knife Proficiency: Strong skill in using traditional sushi knives safely.
- Certification: Valid Washignton State Food Handler’s Card
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
