Fortuna is seeking an experienced Senior IBM DataCap Administrator / ECM Platform Engineer to support a large-scale document modernization initiative. This role is responsible for administering and optimizing IBM DataCap environments, managing ECM integrations (FileNet and IBM Content Navigator), and driving automation and DevOps practices across the platform. You possess a strong technical expertise in DataCap, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines, along with the ability to support production systems in a high-availability environment.
This position will require you to travel to Sacramento, CA, for fingerprinting if offered the position.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours; participation in on-call rotation and after-hours support for critical incidents required
PAY RATE:
$60/hr

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
· Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM DataCap environments across non-production and production systems
· Administer DataCap components (Taskmaster, Rulerunner, Web Services), including performance tuning and health monitoring
· Deploy DataCap Admin, Engine, and Fingerprint components using automated pipelines integrated with Git repositories
· Maintain DataCap workflows, fingerprint libraries, and rulesets across multiple applications
· Deploy and manage custom DataCap modules using the DataCap Developer's Kit (DDK)
· Administer IBM Content Navigator (ICN) and support integration with IBM FileNet repositories
· Troubleshoot complex issues including workflow failures, OCR accuracy degradation, and system crashes
· Manage user access, role-based permissions, and environment configurations
· Perform performance tuning and optimization of batch processing and system throughput
· Coordinate with IBM Support, manage cases, and apply patches/upgrades as needed
· Maintain and govern Git repositories, including branching strategies and release management controls
· Build and support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and validation of DataCap and ICN components
· Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational reporting
· Automate system tasks including deployments, service restarts, and batch queue management
· Integrate DataCap workflows with SQL Server and AWS services (e.g., Textract, S3)
· Monitor system health, batch processing, and document workflows through dashboards and alerts
· Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and document resolutions
· Maintain system documentation including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and configuration standards
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
· 3 years of hands-on IBM DataCap administration experience in an enterprise environment
· Strong expertise with DataCap core components (Taskmaster, Rulerunner, Web Taskmaster)
· Experience administering IBM Content Navigator (ICN) and ECM integrations (FileNet preferred)
· Proficiency with Git (branching, merging, tagging, pull requests, and repository governance)
· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
· Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, monitoring, and system administration
· Experience with SQL Server and database integration
· Familiarity with Windows Server administration and system performance tuning
· Experience troubleshooting complex system and application issues in production environments
· Exposure to AWS services (S3, Lambda, Textract, RDS) preferred
· Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server, SSO, or session management is a plus
· Experience with .NET or Java for custom integrations is a plus
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and documentation abilities
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
