Job description The staff accountant is primarily responsible for the daily processing of financial activities for each client. The staff accountant will work as a team with the controller. In addition to daily and weekly projects and tasks, the staff accountant will be asked to assist with special projects as they arise. The staff accountant will be responsible for the technical quality and proficiency of the accounting processes for each client. General Responsibilities:
- Do the extras - provide clients with unexpected service
- Manage client contracts and billing schedules
- Process invoicing
- Manage accounts receivable
- Process bill payments
- Prepare sales tax filings
- Prepare account reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts
- Process general ledger activities and month-end close
- Follow and continuously develop Fortiviti processes and policies Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 1 - 4 years of experience in accounting/finance - preferably in a small business or entrepreneurial environment
- Desire for personal growth
