Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Safety Director to work with our team of industry pros. You will provide strategic and operational safety leadership in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for a senior safety professional with 5 years of experience who can design, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs while working remotely and traveling periodically to support field operations.
The Fractional Safety Director will serve as a key advisor to our client companies’ executive leadership. This individual will drive regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Safety Leadership
· Implement company-wide safety initiatives in coordination with our risk management team.
· Align safety initiatives with operational and business goals
· Educate and build relationships with key safety personnel inside our clients operations.
· Lead continuous improvement efforts across departments
Compliance & Risk Management
· Advise on compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
· Oversee policy development and regulatory updates
· Direct incident investigations
· Monitor and manage workers’ compensation trends and claims
Program Development
· Design scalable safety management systems
· Develop standardized safety procedures and training programs
· Conduct virtual audits, supplemented with on-site visits as needed
· Support emergency preparedness planning
Training & Culture
· Deliver remote leadership coaching and safety training
· Promote a proactive and accountable safety culture
· Facilitate safety committee meetings and engagement initiatives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 5 years of progressive safety leadership experience
· Experience supporting multi-site operations
· Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHST, or equivalent) preferred
· Strong regulatory knowledge and audit experience
· Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
· Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor and business casual dress attire. Maintain strict confidentiality with all materials.
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to take direction well & work independently and in a team environment.

Compensation & Structure
· Competitive hourly consulting. flexible fractional engagement, with additional material development and referral compensation, as well.
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
