Summer Internship – Business Development Representative

Job Summary
Fortified Health Security is healthcare’s recognized leader in cybersecurity—protecting patient data and reducing risk across the healthcare ecosystem. We provide purpose-built services that help hospitals and health systems evaluate their risk, strengthen their cybersecurity posture, and improve operations.
We’re looking for a high-energy, driven Summer Intern to join our Business Development team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the top of the sales funnel, helping to drive pipeline growth through research, data quality, and campaign execution. This is an ideal opportunity for someone exploring a career in healthcare, cybersecurity, or sales/marketing operations
What You’ll Do
- Support top-of-funnel activities including lead research, list building, and contact enrichment
- Assist with CRM data hygiene and territory alignment to ensure accurate reporting
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to build and maintain prospecting list
- Execute campaign activities in coordination with sales and marketing (e.g., uploads, tagging, segmentation)
- Research target accounts and personas to support outbound strategies
- Track and report on data quality, campaign performance, and list coverage
- Learn sales and marketing tools like Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and occasional events to gain broader exposure to the healthcare cybersecurity industry
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred)
- Strong interest in healthcare, cybersecurity, sales, or marketing operations
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a passion for data accuracy and process improvement
- Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets to organize and analyze lead data
- Strong written communication skills for crafting outreach support materials
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and CRM tools (like Salesforce or HubSpot) is a plus—but not required
- Eager to learn how modern B2B marketing and sales teams generate pipeline
- Self-motivated, proactive, and excited to contribute to a fast-paced team environment
