Line Cook/Prep Cook

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the daily preparation of food items

- Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards under the chefs guidance

- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment following all food service guidelines

- Follow recipe cards, and preparing food to guests specifications

- Working with a sense of urgency and punctuality

- Multitasking to prepare multiple orders and produce high quality scratch made food

- Stocking your station and preparing a prep list for the following day

- Communicating with coworkers to ensure the highest food quality

- Cleaning and closing kitchen stations and equipment

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.

- Possess knowledge of preparing different types of cuisines, relishes, soups, and salads.

- Have a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.

- Experience working grill and sauté stations preferred.

- Must have an understanding and be knowledgeable of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

- Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and carry containers loaded with food and liquids.

- Able to read, speak and understand English.

- Able to lift, push, carry over 50lbs.

- Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time.

- Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
