COMPANY OVERVIEW: Forte Products – a Plastics & Fiberglass manufacturer, is unique in the industry because we offer multiple molding processes out of four separate manufacturing plants. Forte Products offers a range of plastic manufacturing processes – rotational molding, vacuum forming and injection. We also offer substantial expertise in fiberglass manufacturing. We serve a wide range of industries such as, Commercial Airlines, Agriculture, Marine, Department of Defense, Lawn and Garden, Waste Services, Petroleum/C-Store and RV. Summary

We are seeking a General Maintenance professional to join our team at Forte Products in Cherryvale, KS. This role ensures that the workplace remains safe, clean, and functional by performing preventative maintenance and addressing minor issues as they arise, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Handle basic repairs such as painting, replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and patching walls
• Assist with setup and tear down for events, furniture moves, and general facility support
• Maintain grounds, including minor landscaping and snow removal as needed
• Monitor building systems and report issues to supervisors or specialized technicians
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Ensure work areas remain clean and organized, following safety standards, including lock out, tag out
• Lead by example and act as a team player
• Operate manual and power tools, torches, and other specialized equipment
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests, including after-hours emergencies.
• Troubleshooting and resolving machine/equipment problems
• Maintain repair records
• Follow directions as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor about any repairs, maintenance, or other items needed

Qualifications

• High school education, GED, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in facility upkeep or general maintenance preferred
• Basic knowledge of tools and repair techniques
• Strong communication skills and reliability

• Ability to understand current processes used
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain repair records
• Ability to perform shift inspections and preventative maintenance on all tools and fixtures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
