- 3rd Shift: 11:00p - 7:00a (Mon-Fri)
- Fort Wayne Metals operates 24 hours/day with various shifts, depending on the building. Additional shifts may open up

What you’ll do
- Ability to interpret blueprints to shape wire with a fixture without damaging the wire in the process
- Troubleshoot and adjust machines according to customer specifications
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Understand the operating features of the equipment used in the department and be able to effectively make adjustments to operating parameters of that equipment
- Visually inspect material coming off resources, acting as first line inspection, to ensure quality of product
- Follow all procedures for traceability, line clearance, process control, safety, and housekeeping
What we’re looking for
- 1 year of machine operator or manufacturing experience (required)
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills
- Mechanical aptitude, preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand dexterity
- Understand and apply safe work practices
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production environment
- May work with and around hazardous chemicals
- Exposure to fluctuating temperatures may occur
- Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion
- May be required to perform work above shoulder height
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting
- Must be able to access all areas of operation
- Standing/walking most of shift
