POSITION TITLE: Office Administrative Assistant (OAA) for Student Services
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Student Services
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.
LOCATIONS: Service Center
BEGINNING: July 1, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required.
- Educational office training preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple task efficiently and effectively.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the clerical duties of the Student Services, focusing primarily on the District’s nursing staff.
- Coordinate health related programs for the students of the District.
- Coordinate and process the paperwork for the District nurses and social workers, including budgets and expenditures, professional development crisis and fire drills, attendance and leave and student accident reporting.
- Support the data management responsibilities of Student Services, including eSchool recordkeeping, management of enrollment spreadsheets, SIS cycle reporting, alternative education enrollment, legal transfers and student handbooks.
- Support the management and paperwork of the SPICE program.
- Provide high quality customer service for parents and students by taking phone calls, answering emails, and receiving customers in the front office.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including the cross training within the department and assisting the Supervisor of Student Services and the Coordinator of Student Services as needed.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting.
- Answer phones, receive messages, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district.
- Work with administrators.
- Attend meetings/trainings as required by administration.
- Work additional hours as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Present and communicate in a professional manner.
