Description & Responsibilities
We are a lean team with a focus on real estate assets and hospitality-related operating companies. This role will support the investment, development, and asset management functions, focusing on real estate acquisitions, financial modeling, market research, and deal execution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in underwriting real estate projects, and a deep understanding of capital structures. This role is in person and is located in our New York office.
• Work closely with senior team members on financial analysis and presentations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including lenders, investors, and consultants.
• Participate in meetings, due diligence visits, and other interactions to gain exposure to key elements of investment processes
• Build and maintain financial models for real estate investments and developments.
• Support deal structuring, financing strategies, and investment committee presentations.
• Conduct research, participating in strategic planning and review of new acquisitions and the existing portfolio
• Develop an understanding of Fort Partners’ investment strategy
To be considered, you must have obtained a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree and have 1-2 years of professional experience. Candidates must be able to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
Skills & Experience
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• 1-2 years of experience in private equity, real estate development, or investment banking
• Ability to create financial analysis from scratch
• Ability to collaborate with others and work on a team
• Willingness to work hard in a demanding and highly focused environment
• Energetic self-starters who are flexible, organized, conscientious, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Demonstrated personal accountability with an urgency for achieving results
