Position Responsibilities

Teach secondary social studies courses

Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in history, government, and related social studies content

Help students build critical thinking, civic understanding, and discussion skills

Build positive relationships with students and families

Communicate clearly with colleagues and school staff
Qualifications

Kansas teaching license with a History, Government, or Social Studies endorsement, or ability to obtain

Social studies teaching experience preferred

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A student-first approach to teaching and learning

Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
