Schedule: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday one 8 hour weekday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Allowed 12 weekend program shifts off per year
Base pay hourly incentive pay
The CT/XR Tech performs quality imaging that assists the Radiologist in diagnoses relevant to computed tomography and general radiography.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Positions patients properly to obtain quality exams. Develops rapport with the patient exuding confidence and knowledge relevant to the procedure/exam being performed.
- Optimizes technique selection to provide the appropriate contrast and density of area being imaged in CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy.
- Takes the steps appropriate to protect the patient from unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Interacts with the Radiologists to provide the appropriate requests on additional imaging needed for protocol driven exams.
- Assists providers during patient procedures.
- Appropriately documents the images to notify the Radiologist that the exam is ready for dictation.
- Administers contrast material according to protocol driven procedures and has the knowledge to respond appropriately in the event of a contrast based reaction.
- Possesses knowledge of different computer applications(Cerner, Change PACS)
- Maintains the integrity of the equipment and cleans the equipment to minimize any cross contamination.
- Understands the scheduling process to assist others as needed.
Requirements for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required (Associates, Bachelors, or equivalent).
- 1 years of Radiography and CT experience preferred.
- ARRT certification upon hire and Wisconsin Licensure
- ARRT CT certification within 24 months of hire
