As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded to ensure accuracy of entries to ledger accounts. You will contribute to the overall financial health and efficiency of the credit union. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, and can work well within a team.

Location: Corporate Office - Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: 8:15am-5:15pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Balance share branch activity and post to the general ledger.
- Assist with stale dated outstanding check balancing and notify members.
- Reconcile subsidiary reports to the general ledger.
- Assist with processing and balancing ACH and ACH general ledger posting.
- Assist with processing incoming and outgoing wires and reviewing RDC deposits.
- Assist with balancing accounts and maintaining all aspects of the credit union's financial status.
- ATM balancing and posting to the general ledger. Post member adjustments if needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Job Level: Mid-Level
- Required Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience.
- Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent.
