What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at X-Factor Consulting?
Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant for an excellent full-time and on-site position located near the Bryan, OH area. Responsibilities include
- Maintain G/L journal entries, reconciling inventory transactions, and analyzing Purchase Price Variance, Labor, and Overhead Variances
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end close processes and meet deadlines
- Monitor AR aging; follow up on past-due accounts
- Some A/P as needed
- Assist with financial statements and budget-to-actual reporting
- Support external audits, internal reviews, and compliance
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and financial data integrity
- Identify/escalate unusual cost trends and discrepancie
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5 years accounting experience; with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting
- Experience with A/R, A/P, and general ledger in manufacturing, strong understanding of debits and credits
- Proficient in ERP systems, financial modules, and advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, deadline-driven
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
