Talent Director

Full-Time in Fort Collins, CO

 

The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Talent Director to join its collaborative, dynamic and innovative team. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Chamber has long-term and annual goals, a plan for their successful implementation and monitors progress of both for the Northern Colorado Prospers 2.0 (NCP 2.0) key initiative of Attracting, Retaining and Aligning Talent.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· At least five years of full-time, relevant work experience.

· TPM Certified.

· Next Gen Sector Partnership trained.

· Experience collaborating with volunteers and committees.

· Ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional manner.

· Excellent self-management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

· Knowledge of the Northern Colorado region and business community and experience in interacting with this market.

· Ability to coordinate resources, including people, money, and technology, to produce high-quality experiences that benefit the staff, the membership, and the community.

 

Overall Responsibility:

The Talent Director is responsible for ensuring that the Chamber has long-term and annual goals, a plan for their successful implementation and monitors progress of both for the Northern Colorado Prospers 2.0 (NCP 2.0) key initiative of Attracting, Retaining and Aligning Talent.


Detailed Duties:

Key Strategic Initiative Director: Attracting, Retaining and Aligning Talent

· Direct management of the NCP 2.0 goal of Attracting, Retaining and Aligning talent.

· Develop and expand relationships and understanding of talent ecosystem on a regional, state and national level to level-up Northern Colorado.

· Strategic planning and oversight of Sector Partnerships and TPM; positioning the Chamber as a leader, champion and convener for industry

o  Lead the cross-sector partnership effort

· Develop and cultivate relationships with public partners to meet the needs of industry.

· Key leadership within NoCo Works and the TIP II Talent Plan next steps.

· Participating as a member of the Colorado Workforce Development Council Sector Partnership Committee.

· Generate grant funding for the work.

· Oversee grant-funded work.

· Support the fundraising, planning and execution of the Signature Event – Annual Talent Summit.

· Generate and supervise Talent Tuesday and Workforce Lunch and Learn education opportunities to business.

· Ensure the Chamber is represented at event booths necessary to market and support the NCP 2.0 goals.

· Lead Talent Team meetings on a regular cadence with appropriate follow-up.

· Supervise the Talent Manager providing guidance, direction and support including:

o  K-12 Work-Based Learning efforts with business,

o  Work-based learning efforts in the region and the state.

· Coordinate resources, including people, money, and technology, to produce high-quality experiences that benefit the staff, the membership, and the community.

 

Moving Fort Collins Forward! Campaign

· Support the Annual Moving Fort Collins Forward! Campaign

· Serve as a team(s) liaison during the campaign.

 

Serve as a Resource

· Regarding Chamber benefits, marketing resources, opportunities, discounts, etc. Respond timely to questions and provide assistance to ensure a high level of member satisfaction.

· Track member experiences, relevant affiliations and keep member data current in Chamber database.

· Attend and interact with members at Chamber events including, but not limited to, Business After Hours, Annual Celebration, Member & Signature Events.

 

Team Support Supporting Goal:

· Attend all staff meetings.

· Assist fellow staff members as necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Chamber office, including answering phone calls and assisting with walk-in traffic.

· Participate as an active member of the Chamber staff which is a positive and dynamic team dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

 

Other Duties

Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Accountability and Job Location

The Talent Director will be directly accountable to the COO. They primarily work from the Chamber’s headquarters building at 225 South Meldrum in Fort Collins, Colorado.


Compensation:

$65,000 – $82,000 per year (based on education and experience)

 

Benefits Included: Paid time off, 11 paid holidays, 401K contribution, medical insurance, health savings account plan, vision insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance and life insurance.
