What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Security Officer position at Fort Cherry School District?
School Security Officer (Evening/Event)
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma; Associate’s preferred
- Minimum training standards as specified in Section 1304-C; Act 235
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Obtain NASRO “Basic SRO” certification
- Two (2) years of law enforcement/security experience
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to safety and security (i.e. Act 44)
- Experience in education/school preferred
Typical daily hours are approximately 3:00-9:00 pm during the school year, or special event availability.
