Job Description: Upper School or Middle School Coach (Stipend Only)
Fort Bend Christian Academy is seeking an Upper School or Middle School Coach who views athletics as a powerful platform to glorify God and enjoy Him. This individual will be dedicated to discipling players off the court/field, striving for excellence on the court/field, loving our neighbors through the sport, and sending our players out to be disciple-makers in the world.

The applicant shall be a follower of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and able to articulate the Gospel and their personal testimony in any situation.
The applicant should have a strong history of active participation, attendance, or membership in a church with doctrine and beliefs that align with the school’s Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality, with multiple references able to verify this.
The applicant will be able to articulate their plan to systematically use the game of baseball to disciple young people (Proverbs 22:6).
The applicant will be able to provide tangible evidence of investing in their community for God’s glory.
The applicant shall be passionate about the school’s mission and believe that serving in Christian education would be pleasing to God and a good stewardship of their gifts and talents.
General Personal & Professional Expectations:

Professional and Technical
Previous coaching or significant playing experience in the sport you are interested in coaching, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong knowledge of the rules, regulations, and fundamentals of [Insert Sport Here].
Possess the administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills required for success.
Current First Aid and CPR certifications, or a willingness to obtain them.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a systematic plan for using the sport you are interested in coaching to disciple athletes daily.
Plan and lead effective, age-appropriate practices focusing on the fundamentals.
Assist the Upper School Head Coach in implementing preseason, in-season, and offseason plans, including the promotion of summer camps.
Develop practice and game schedules.
Monitor and enforce student eligibility for extracurricular participation.
Oversee the care and storage of team equipment and uniforms.
Ensure compliance with all TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods in the gym, on the field, or on the court where you are coaching.
Ability to bend, stoop, run, and demonstrate sport-related movements.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move equipment (e.g., balls, training aids) weighing up to 50 lbs.
The position regularly requires that work be performed during afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends during the [Insert Season, e.g., basketball, football, spring] season.
