What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician I (Triad Park) position at Forsyth County (NC)?
Forsyth County's Parks and Recreation Department has an excellent part-time opportunity to work outdoors at Triad Park as a Maintenance Technician I. This is a great opportunity to work in an outdoor environment while performing a variety of tasks related to park operations and grounds maintenance.
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Schedule is subject to change as needed, and uniforms are provided.

Ability to operate and care for power equipment and hand tools.

Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds. Graduation from high school or GED and one year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance work.

Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate small to medium motorized equipment (tractors, mowers, blowers, weed eaters, golf carts, and chainsaws).
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered for minimum qualification requirements.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform general groundskeeping tasks: mowing, mulching, line trimming, backpack blowing, pruning, leaf and snow removal.
Conduct trail maintenance and small repair projects: fencing, gravel spreading, picnic table repair, staining, and painting.
Maintain public areas: shelters, restrooms (cleaning and restocking), grills, trash and pet waste stations.
Lock/unlock park access gates and facilities as needed.
Interact with park patrons: provide information, assist with facility rentals, and ensure guest needs are met.
Support special events: assist with setup, cleanup, and parking on Memorial Day and Veterans Day prior, during, and after event festivities
