What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician I (Triad Park) position at Forsyth County (NC)?
Forsyth County's Parks and Recreation Department has an excellent part-time opportunity to work outdoors at Triad Park as a Maintenance Technician I.
This position will perform operational & maintenance tasks at Triad Park. These duties require a wide variety of skills. This position consists of routine maintenance, special maintenance projects, building operations & maintenance, landscaping duties, and operational tasks.
An employee in this position must be willing to work outside year-round.
Work Schedule:
April - October: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
November - March: Monday -Thursday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
(Schedules are subject to change as needed)
Uniforms are provided.
Benefits for this position include vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and 401k contribution.A qualified candidate:
Must have the ability to operate a variety of equipment including tractors, mowers, blowers, weed eaters golf carts and chainsaws.
Have the knowledge of minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs necessary to maintain park structures.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Will have direct contact with customers on a daily basis, therefore courtesy and manners are mandatory.
Safety is top priority at the park.Graduation from high school or GED and one year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance work.
A valid driver's license is required.
Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate small to medium motorized equipment.
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered for minimum qualification requirements.

Salary : $17 - $20
