Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education to join our Christian childcare center team. Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative, faith-based curricula aligned with early childhood education standards and best practices.
- Oversee daily center operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to all legal, safety, and educational regulations.
- Supervise school staff including teachers, administrative personnel, and support staff; facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance instructional quality.
- Manage budgets effectively by planning financial resources, monitoring expenses, and ensuring fiscal responsibility as an executive education administrator.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts and community outreach initiatives to support center programs and expand community engagement.
- Conduct faculty evaluations, classroom observations, and provide constructive feedback to promote instructional excellence.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions to set goals for program growth, staff development, and operational improvements aligned with the center’s mission.
- Fill in in classrooms as needed
Requirements
- Degree in ECE and or Business with ECE Leadership experience
- Strong background in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, instructional leadership, and managing educational programs in compliance with legal standards including special education law.
- Demonstrated expertise in personnel management, supervising staff, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Knowledge of educational regulations, licensing requirements, and legal considerations specific to early childhood education centers.
- Skilled in managing budgets, fundraising strategies, and strategic planning initiatives at an executive level.
- Ability to effectively and competently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Quicken Books, and other such platforms to preform family billing and staff payroll operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands-on classroom experience working directly with young children to understand their developmental needs is a must
- Ability to work beginning at 6:45 am and/or until 6:00 pm at least 3 days/week
