Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Wealth Manager located in Santa Barbara, CA. The Wealth Manager will be responsible for generating, developing and nurturing leads from prospects into clients with consistency.
The Wealth Manager grows a book of clients by creating and managing comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies in a team-based, collaborative environment.
The role involves scheduling regular client meetings to review financial plans and adjust strategies as needed. Attention to detail, note taking accuracy, follow up task management, are all skills the candidate should possess.
Candidate should be knowledgeable around financial markets, investment products, insurance strategies, money movement logistics, prospecting efficiency, conducting effective meetings with agendas and objectives attained.
Candidate should have at least 1 year experience with an established record of closing new business.
Candidate should have at least 1 year experience in a client facing consultative role.
Candidate should be a CFP® or willing to become a CFP® within 12 months.
Candidate should be series 65 licensed or willing to become licensed within 3 months.
Candidates who have series 6,7,63,9,10,24 will need to be open to shelving their FINRA licensing while employed with us, since we are a 100% fiduciary RIA, we do employ FINRA licensed reps. (although FINRA now allows anyone relinquishing licenses to maintain them with CE for up to 5 years)
Candidate may maintain an Insurance license, but is not required to obtain one upon hiring.
Qualifications
- Skills in Financial Planning, Finance, and Investment Management
- Experience with Investments and Insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional certification such as CFP™ is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in providing personalized financial advice
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Compensation is dependent on experience and ability to develop and maintain new client households.
Compensation is a combination of a permanent hourly wage (DOE), plus generous quarterly bonuses tied to new households closed and Assets under management, plus an annual bonus tied to firm-wide revenue growth.
Range of total compensation from $75,000 to $500,000 depending on experience and size of book.
