What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Collections position at Formula Drift Team?
The Mission: At 321 Drive, we don't just finance vehicles; we build financial futures. We are a premier Buy Here Pay Here dealership dedicated to helping our community get back on the road. We are seeking a Collections Manager who understands that the goal of our department is retention, not just repossession. We need a leader who can balance firm financial enforcement with the empathy required to keep customers in their vehicles and successfully completing their loans.
The Opportunity: We are looking for a strategic decision-maker, not just a supervisor. You won't just be managing a phone bank; you will be managing the health of a substantial financial portfolio. We need a "player-coach" who can analyze delinquency trends one minute and de-escalate a heated customer conversation the next.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Manage the daily workflow of the collections team. Your goal is to coach them on negotiation techniques, compliance, and problem-solving—transforming them from "bill collectors" into "account managers."
- Strategic Autonomy: You will have the authority to negotiate payment arrangements and manage account lifecycles. For major asset decisions (such as final repossession authorization), you will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure all retention options have been exhausted.
- Portfolio Health: Monitor KPIs (Recency, Roll Rates, and Delinquency) to identify early warning signs and implement strategies to curb losses before they happen.
- Operational Management: Oversee the logistics of recovery and remarketing when retention is no longer an option, ensuring all actions are compliant, professional, and timely.
Who You Are:
- Experienced: 5 years of experience in collections is required (Automotive/BHPH experience is highly preferred).
- A Leader: You have a track record of motivating teams to hit targets. You know how to drive performance through encouragement and accountability.
- Discreet & Professional: You understand the importance of protecting company data and handling sensitive financial matters with integrity.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using modern DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and CRM tools to track accounts and generate reports.
The Schedule: We believe in working hard while you are here so you can enjoy your time off.
- Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (4 days a week; you get a weekday off).
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Required).
- Sundays: Always Closed.
Why Join 321 Drive?
- High Earning Potential: We offer a competitive base salary ($60k–$80k) with bonuses.
- Stability: Join a growing leader in the local market with a consistent flow of inventory.
- Impact: Your voice matters. You will play a key role in shaping department strategies and success.
To Apply: Please submit your resume outlining your experience in the automotive or finance industry. If you are a results-driven professional looking for a stable home where your performance is rewarded, we want to talk to you.
