Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position exists to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources to manufacture the highest quality products in the most efficient and effective manner, reduce costs, and increase operating profit. The Maintenance Staff focused on scheduling increases productivity and adds value by integrating plant assets, personnel, technology, energy, effective maintenance, instrumentation, production, and material flow processes while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, and safety regulatory and Company requirements. This position uses independent judgment of matters of significance to the Company.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Equipment Reliability: Provide Maintenance support to the operating units, which will enable the Unit to achieve smooth operation, manufacture high-quality products, and avoid unscheduled process interruptions. This will be achieved by utilizing industries' best practices, benchmarking, and planning, abnormal analysis, initiation, and maintenance procedures.
Maintenance Performance: Work with the Unit Supervisor and Operations Maintenance Coordinator on a daily basis to schedule work activities and reduce the maintenance work order backlog, prioritizing critical jobs for timely execution. Ensure all Process Safety Management (PSM) work orders are thoroughly planned and prioritized to avoid overdue status and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage and coordinate procurement of all materials required to execute planned work orders, ensuring availability prior to scheduled execution. Communicate and work with operating units (maintenance, operations, and turnaround team) continuously to review and process new work order requests, clarify scope, and assign scheduling priorities.
Maintenance Support: Provide support to operating units to ensure proper knowledge of equipment. Prepare and issue bid packages and material purchase requisitions in support of maintenance work orders requiring external resources or specialized materials.
Initiate Action as the Critical Liaison: Coordinate with multiple departments, cross-functional representatives, and key external contacts/decision-makers on various decision-making processes to impact Department goals and results optimally. Collaborate with the Unit Supervisor and Operations Maintenance Coordinator to support and align on detailed planning of all maintenance-related activities.
Manage, Analyze, Integrate, and Administer Solutions to Improve Efficiency: Gather, compile, analyze, report, and make recommendations with critical impact on production planning, credit, quality, logistics, and customer service. Comply with company policy/procedures to streamline day-to-day processes, workflow, and related practices.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Related Experience Required
- A minimum of six to ten (10) years of experience in the mechanical maintenance or similar field, depending upon education achieved. Level 4 Maintenance Tech - Turnaround Lead experience is preferred.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 10 years of direct job-related experience required. Associate’s degree with 8 years of direct job-related experience. Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of direct job-related experience preferred.
