Job Summary:
The Vice President of Supply Chain is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the end-to-end supply chain strategy and harmonization across planning, sourcing, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and supplier quality for Forj Medical. This role is responsible for ensuring a resilient, compliant, cost-effective, and scalable supply chain that meets the regulatory and quality requirements of the medical device industry while enabling business growth, innovation, and global expansion.

Job Summary:
The Vice President of Supply Chain is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the end-to-end supply chain strategy and harmonization across planning, sourcing, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and supplier quality for Forj Medical. This role is responsible for ensuring a resilient, compliant, cost-effective, and scalable supply chain that meets the regulatory and quality requirements of the medical device industry while enabling business growth, innovation, and global expansion.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership and Integration:
- Define and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with Forj Medical’s business objectives and integration roadmap
- Design a scalable supply chain infrastructure to support new product launches and international expansion.
- Build long-term supplier partnerships and global sourcing strategies.
- Regulatory and Quality Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, EU MDR, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Partner with Quality to ensure supplier qualification, audits, CAPA execution, and risk management.
- Global Sourcing & Procurement:
- Oversee global sourcing and build a diversified, resilient supplier base.
- Negotiate long-term agreements (MSAs) with suppliers and implement supplier performance monitoring and risk mitigation strategies.
- Production Planning & Inventory Control:
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align demand forecasting with manufacturing
- Optimize Inventory Turns and Working Capital while achieving OTIF service/delivery targets.
- Manage warehousing and transportation to ensure timely, high-quality delivery to customers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Commercial, R&D, Project Management, and Finance to ensure supply chain alignment with new product launches and financial targets.
- Support Commercial and R&D with the creation, negotiation, and approval of customer proposals and contracts.
- Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation:
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, and harmonize ERP across global sites to enhance visibility, analytics, and results.
- Culture, Engagement and Communication:
- Shape and sustain a cohesive values-driven culture across diverse operating environments
- Promote transparent communication and engagement strategies that reinforce organizational priorities
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to the Supply Chain team, defining clear roles and reporting structures
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and cultural alignment across teams and facilities
- Foster a high-performance, results-oriented culture and ensure continuous professional development of team members
- 20 years of progressive Supply Chain leadership experience, including at least 10 years in a global senior leadership role in medical device and CDMO organizations.
- Proven track record of leading post-merger/acquisition Supply Chain integration
- Proven ability to manage teams using Tiered metrics
- Experience with customer engagement and communication, from project-level to executive (C-suite), with the ability to balance Forj business and customer success
- Demonstrated executive leadership capabilities, including advanced communication, stakeholder influence, and the ability to build and lead high-performing global teams
- Strong financial and P&L management skills, with the ability to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30% to domestic and international locations
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (MBA or master’s degree preferred)
- Multi-facility leadership experience
- Executive experience leading organizations with institutional ownership (e.g., Private Equity)
- Prior experience presenting to boards of directors and shareholders
- Certifications: APICS (CSCP, CPIM) or Lean Six Sigma certifications
